I think it's going to be a bad hair day today, sucks.

I wish I could 'do a Danny Mcfly' and just sod it and let it all go ridiculous but I fear I don't have a big enough character to pull it off. It was touch and go for him for a while, at first it looked like a poodle perm but now its settled down and gone more Kooks/Razorlight-esque. It isn't however as big a mistake as Richard Fleeshman made when he decided to put away the hair straightners; in that case the difference between straight and curly would definitely be a deal breaker.

It's party season, hurrah! Little Britain tomorrow night (Sorry Neil) then GOM Xmas drinks Friday, then very own friends gang drinks etc Sat.

I don't have time to check but You Tube must surely have some clips from last nights 'Ghost Hunting With Girls Aloud (& Yvette Fielding)' It was a scary to watch, and not in a spooky haunted house kind or way.

Which is always a bonus. Just a quick hello to say still no internet at home yet. Hi to all Neil's and Fi's and Dan's and Dave's and Steven's who frequent my LJ, see you all soon!

[info]fi_herman 31 TODAY!!!

Happy Birthday to wonderful Fiona Herman!

It's been a great weekend out fri-sat celebrating, it's been a brilliant opportunity to see old faces and have lots of fun, it's not very often everyone gets together en masse so it was really super cool :-)

Some pictures from last night

I don't do many posts these days...I'm far too busy posting super cool pop music HERE

Some ace summer snaps -

We were in the 12th row - that's practically a lap dance!

* Back to Devon

*Away on holiday

*Girls Aloud @ Wembley

*Lots of BB watching

That's the last few weeks really!

Back from a couple of days spent at Head Office in Nottingham.

Reasons to go and work in Nottingham

1) It's on an industrial estate all of it's very own which when you get there is like a small town - everything is there from offices to factories to training facilities and warehouses. If this place went up there would be some serious problems keeping the business going!

2) All the departments in the various buildings are labelled up like the sections are in the shop, I was the only person who found this hilarious

3) They have shuttle busses that go from there to the city centre at 10-minute intervals

4) They have 2 extreemly discounted outlet shops

5) I had to mention all the boys, it's like they've creamed off all the hottest ones from stores and packed them off to Nottingham (therefore my calling card is surely in the post)

And reasons not to

1) They serve Boots Sandwiches in all the food places

2) You could in theory bump into the big bosses at any point in the day rather than the once in a blue moon that happens now

3) It's 2 hours away from London!

I did like Nottingham as a city too, all the both times I've visited . It's a University town so all the boys have perfectly straightened hair and skulk around awkwardly - lovely!

If anyone finds a BB golden ticket please pass it on to this woman -

Hurrah!

Ryan's birthday last night, lots fun, but had to get out of there cos it was so freaking hot in the Ghetto.

Nottingham this week, how exciting! Matt's away so it's very quiet here.

Had a blast from the past today. Donna a pint sized Geordie fog horn who I used to work with in Crawley turned up at work today, turns out she is now the business development manager for the South for No7 - huge job! We went out for lunch and had a huge catch up, she's not changed; still loud still a huge laugh, it was great to see her, such a surprise!

Saw my AOM Rita yesterday at the GSM meeting, turns out that BITCH from friday is hugely worried she pissed me off and is paranoid I hate her - good! I told Rita I thought she was very unprofessional. Rita says she has already been given feedback about her mouth, and it's not the first time haHA!

I never normally watch 'Two Pints...' but I happened to flip over to BBC3 and catch this weeks - it was a horror special, no lauughter, just gore and lots of screaming, really weird but strangely more watchable than a normal 'comedy' episode.

And I have to work this one, well not today but tomorrow.

So, whats happened?! Had a surprise visit from the Regional manager yesterday, which was a nightmare, especially since the manager is off and I was in charge. It was very unprecedented having area managers visit on a saturday and suffice to say things weren't 100% as they should have been so I got it in the neck somewhat :-(

Had GOM meeting on friday which was pretty hum drum. After it we went for drinks down the pub. There is a GOM who is very loud and self obsessed and after a few glasses of wine started being so RUDE about my hair and about me in general. Even though it was technically after work it was really innaprpriate, especially since I've never been anything but nice and professional in her company. I left; and it was quite obvious to the others why I left, I didn't make any comment on it so as to leave her to show herself up completely. Hopefully people will see how bad it makes her look. Talk about out of the blue. With the store team I work with I am very much myself and we have a good banter with eachother, but with these area meetings - even if they end up in the pub I still keep it professional and don't offer any peronal stuff etc. You can sometimes end up giving yourself rope to hang yourself on - as it sounds like this woman often does. Everyone knows I like a good binge drink but I know when to reign it in.

Off to 'Shrink Schoo;' at head office for 2 days next week, regular readers will be familiar with my exploits at Nottingham from last trip ;-) From what I've heard this course is work work work though :-(

Then after that I have holiday with Robin and Kira on the 20th - YAY!
I hope the weather will be better than last year -

Aww look at those two ickle pooches (not those ones ;-))

Doctor who was weepingly wicked last night, I must confess I got a wee bit emotional at the end, and even got a bit goosebumpy about a robot dog sacrificing himself to say the day. I love the drama/emotion/action/SFX/comdey these new Dr Who's have, I just can't get enough. I don't want Mickey tagging along on the adventures though, Christopher Ecclestons Doctor would never have let him come along!
